Zoology is the subject of study for those who have the interest in nature's creation of wonder animals living in earth, water and around us also consisting various attractive colours, shape and size. Department of zoology was started in 1965 for under graduate course and Dr. S. K. Singh was the first head of department followed by Dr. J. P. N. Singh who was also the principal. Presently the department undergoes in development, research and academic activities like seminars, conferences etc. under the supervision of Dr. Anurag Singh, HOD.

Consistently in the course of development post graduate department was started in 2016 with intake of 20 students. Both UG and PG course carry NEP 2020 and divided into six semester and four semester respectively.
